A. WRITE A PARAGRAPH RETELLING THE FOLLOWING CONVERSATION. REMEMBER TO USE CONNECTORS

THE HAPPY PRINCE  

 The Happy Prince had asked the swallow to stay with him so …
Swallow:  I’ve decided not to go to Egypt. I want to help you
Happy Prince:  Good! I’m so happy.  You know, there are a lot of poor people in this village. Now I see all the misery that I haven’t seen before.
Swallow:  Well, now, I’m going to take your jewels to the poor woman whose child is ill and she will buy some oranges for him.
Happy Prince:  And maybe, later, you can help the little girl who sells matches and give this diamond to the young student.  Then, you must leave. If you stay here much longer, you will die; it’s getting too cold for you.
Swallow:  All right, I’ll do it. I didn’t realize how good it is to help people.
Happy Prince: Thank you,  I have always dreamt of a friend like you.

B.    ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTION

 The Happy Prince had asked the swallow to stay with him so he told him /said (to him) that he HAD DECIDED not to go to Egypt BECAUSE  he WANTED to help him. The Happy Prince was really happy and told him /said - explained (to him) that there WERE a lot of poor people in THAT village. WHAT’S MORE  he said/added (that) at that moment he SAW all the misery that he HADN’T SEEN before.
The Swallow SAID/REPLIED/ HE WAS going to take HIS jewels to the poor woman whose child WAS ill and/so  she WOULD buy some oranges for him.
LATER / AFTER THAT, 
The Happy Prince asked for another favour; he told him /said (to him) (that) later he could help the little girl who SOLD matches and  (HE COULD) GIVE A /THAT diamond TO the young student

The swallow AGREED/SAID  HE WOULD do it AND ADDED/EXPLAINED HE HADn’t realizeD how good it WAS to help people.

FINALLY, the Happy Prince thanked him and TOLD/SAID TO HIM HE HAD always dreamt of a friend like HIM.
B. He wouldn’t have helped the poor people people in the village so he would have felt terribly sad.
