THE HAPPY

The Happy Prince had
asked the swallow to stay with him so …
Swallow: I’ve decided not to go to Egypt. I want to help you
Happy Prince: Good! I’m so happy. You know, there are a lot of poor
people in this village. Now I see all the misery that I haven’t seen before.
Swallow: Well, now, I’m going to take your jewels to the poor woman whose
child is ill and she will buy some oranges for him.
Happy Prince: And maybe, later, you can help the little girl who sells matches
and give this diamond to the young student. Then, you must leave. If you
stay here much longer, you will die; it’s getting too cold for you.

people.
Happy Prince: Thank you, I have always dreamt of a friend like you.
